One of Nigeria's oldest twin sister dies

One of Nigeria's oldest twin- sisters who celebrated their 100th birthday recently, Emily Kehinde Olukoga-Ogunde, is dead, the family said on Monday.

Olukoga's only child, Kunle Olukoga told Xinhua in southwest Nigeria's Ogun State that the centenarian died in her sleep last Thursday.

Six months ago, Kehinde and her sister, Esther Taiwo Olukoya celebrated their 100th birthday.

Esther Taiwo Olukoya and Emily Kehinde Olukoga-Ogunde, who are identical may probably be the first in Africa, but the third set of twins in the world to clock a hundred years of age.

According to the Guinness book of records, the first set of twins to clock 100 years are Edith Ritchie and Evelyn Middleton from Aberdeenshire in Scotland.

The Scottish twins who are now 103 years old.
